George Iosifelis

George started piano lessons at the age of 6. He was "strongly encouraged" by his parents (especially mother) to practice. The "p"
word made george really "inventive" in explaining the need not to, As he preferred to do engage in other activities. As he had to deal with "offers he couldn't refuse" he often chose to see his mother's point of view concerning practicing. At the age of the 13, the movie "the blues brothers" changed everything. In 148 minutes his music previous experiences turned into a passion. A passion that led him to learn 6 instruments, compose music for theater, produce 2 albums, be apart of numerous recordings and become an expert in having fun playing music.

Even though he is originally from Greece he is a 9 year Bowness veteran. He currently lives in his house, which is 2-3 blocks away from the rest of the band, with his wife Donnell and his 2 wonderful kids Jonathan and Kristin.

George wishes his resume included playing with such artists as, Tower of Power, Stevie Wonder, Machalia Jackson, Diana Krall and Oscar Peterson.
